Fall's Seducing

There is something so mysterious and beautiful about fall. Every year it seems to sneak upon me like a child on tiptoe. I step outside my door and immediately a crisp, fresh, Autumn wind fills my lungs and whips through my hair. All the while leaves dance around, spiraling and soaring and twirling about. Red, yellow, and orange splash the streets like paint on a canvass. Each year I am taken by fall's beauty and it seems even more wonderful than I remembered it the year before.

It's on fall days like these that I dream of heaven.
What must it be like I wonder. Standing in the midst of a castle of trees blooming with gold, I can hardly imagine a more beautiful place.

In the castle of gold I forget all of my pain. The wind seems to blow right through my aching heart, driving away every memory. And as I stand amidst this wonderland my heart feels so terribly free as if I could fly!

There are days I get so wrapped up in what I have to do. My mind becomes consumed with the long this of must dos for the day...
But then when I look out the window, my heart cannot help but be captured by Fall's sweet seducing. It seems to whisper, "Forget all of that."

I think fall is one of God's favorite canvasses. He brushes the colors, splattering red and yellow and orange just for you. From the window in your bedroom or at work or school, He's painted something wonderful for you. Just to remind you of his deep love. Just to remind you He delights in you and that he has plans for you.

"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse."
Romans 1:20

Look out your window and let your mind be blown!
