I have been feeling so sick lately. For about a month now about once a day or sometimes all day I feel so weak and naucious. We have gotten my blood taken, and been to a doctor a few times, but we still are not sure what it is. Lately I have realized that I have been pretty depressed and frustrated, especially when I feel so sick I have to just lie down.
So I decided to make a list, write down all of the beautiful things God has been sending my way despite this unexplainable sickness...and I'm realizing I have so much to be thankful for!
#1. This beautiful weather! It's the right before fall weather! Sunshine, a light breeze, and a crisp freshness.
#2. My amazing sister! This week we slept under the stars on the trapoline, and it was wonderful! And then there are of course our usual dance parties. A song will come on, and even though we are in the middle of homework, we just can't help but jump up and bust some moves. I love her to death!
#3. Early morning worship. Friday's are one of my favorite days, not just because it starts the weekend but because at 6 a.m. I meet with a few other Jesus Freaks at the church and just worship for an hour. It is an amazing way to just start off the day, being with Jesus!
#4 . Lunch outside. I love lunch release! My beautiful friends and I grab our lunch boxes as soon as the bell rings and run out the doors to eat lunch in the grass.
#5. Playing music with my quirky quartet friends. This weekend we are playing for a wedding, and so during orchestra class the four of us have been practicing and just hanging out. I love all of them and their fun personalties! And music making with them is the best!
#6. The chance to meet new people. Yesterday I had the chance to talk and hang out with a girl from school, and it was so fun getting to know her better and talking about plans for college.
#7. Homework at college with my dear mother! My mom is in school again, so we grabbed our backpacks, left the craziness at home, and headed off to her school's library. There we drank tea and worked on math together.
#8. My wonderful church family! Every time I hang out with them, I just fall more and more in love with them! They are such beautiful people, who are each walking with Jesus in different ways. I'm learning so much from them!
#9. Art journaling with Caleb. Last week my brother and I both were sick, so we had a stay at home day. We listened to Narnia radio theater, took a nap, read a bit, and then got out the hodge podge and paint and went to town journaling! He is such a wonderful brother!
#10. Rainy days! I absolutely love the rain! Whenever it rains...I feel like God is saying, "Alright Abi, it's our time..let's dance!" And so I grab my rainboots and head out, letting the rain drench my soul....And I think it might rain Monday!
